Arkulas’s journey into the world of technology began at a remarkably young age, accompanying his father on computer service calls from the tender age of 2. By 12, he was honing his PC fixing skills, and at the impressive age of 16, he was independently running networks. Following his high school graduation, Arkulas enlisted in the army, serving in Kuwait for Operation Enduring Freedom. However, while stationed overseas, he made a pivotal decision: rather than reenlisting, he opted to return to New Mexico to pursue his dream of launching a computer repair business based in Rio Rancho.

In 2014, Arkulas joined forces with Carl to turn their shared dream into reality, giving birth to TechNuts after nearly a decade of anticipation. Initially run from home, TechNuts quickly outgrew its roots, prompting the duo to upgrade to a dedicated office. Today, TechNuts thrives as a 6-employee operation with a convenient Rio Rancho location.

Arkulas, with a wealth of experience, infuses every project with a fresh, young perspective. His passion for IT stems from its dynamic nature—there’s always something new to learn, and no two challenges are ever quite the same.

Beyond the tech realm, Arkulas enjoys spending his spare time with friends and working on his 2013 Subaru WRX, showcasing his love for both technology and hands-on pursuits.

At Cornell University, Carl earned his degree in Agricultural Engineering. However, his true passion revealed itself in computer-related classes, leading him to seize a golden opportunity in the United States Army. Serving proudly from 1985 to 1989, Carl immersed himself in Computer Programming for the Military, gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology like the IBM Personal Computer—the first standard PC with Disk Operating System (DOS). His contributions extended to working on the first Novel Network, a groundbreaking multi-platform network operating system.

During his military service, Carl crafted classified programming for high-ranking military officials, eventually consulting at the Pentagon on programming military withdrawals from overseas operations. In the District of Columbia, he not only contributed to national defense but also found love, meeting his wife of over 30 years. Opting for a change of scenery, they moved to beautiful New Mexico when they decided to start a family.

Carl continued his career with the Federal Government, leaving an indelible mark by setting up the first email system for the United States Department of the Interior. In 1997, he took the entrepreneurial plunge, founding his first computer consulting company, a journey that paved the way for the eventual creation of TechNuts in collaboration with his son, Arkulas.

Beyond the world of computers, Carl finds joy in camping and creating lasting memories with his family. From military programming to pioneering tech solutions, Carl’s journey is a testament to the power of following one’s passion and embracing new opportunities.

Falicity became an integral member of the TechNuts team in mid-2016, making a significant impact since her arrival. A proud New Mexico native, she has spent her entire life in the state, graduating from Rio Rancho High School before pursuing general studies at CNM. It was during her time at CNM that she discovered her passion for computer work, finding the process both challenging and exhilarating.

Her journey with computers began at TechNuts, where she delved into the world of tech problem-solving. The satisfaction of identifying and resolving computer issues, coupled with the joy on customers’ faces after a successful solution, fueled her enthusiasm. Starting as a shop tech, Falicity’s dedication and knowledge saw her evolve into our accomplished office manager.

In addition to her role at TechNuts, Falicity channels her creativity into making vinyl decals as part of Rio Stickers. During her downtime, she prioritizes quality moments with her two children, engaging in games and various creative pursuits. Over the past two years, Falicity has not only contributed significantly to our team but has also played a pivotal role in our growth. We are fortunate to have her as a valued member of the TechNuts family.
